Low Cost Treatment for Sick Animals

Lucky Paws Rescue is an all breed dog rescue, with a focus on the German Shepherd Dog and herding breeds. We are a foster based organization and rely on foster homes and volunteers to help with rehabilitation and housing, as we pull dogs from shelters that are rated as high kill facilities. We do not take animals from the public.
We help the public with re-homing their pets and provide options that may help them keep their pets, including training.

Offers: No shelter, but when able to assist, they pull from shelters not the public. Focus on education so that fewer cats enter the shelter system. Lifetime return policy, any cat adopted from them comes back to them if necessary.
- The Muddy Puddle
The Muddy Puddle website is a growing project to help find resources for pet owners in Lane County and have them in one easy resource site. Includes resources for those needing help with vet bills.
- West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

Provides care and finds homes for cats in our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Works with county partners (vet clinics, shelters and other rescue groups) and with public when possible. Actively supports and participates in feral spay/neuter programs when possible. Lifetime return policy on any cat adopted from WCDC. Adoption outlets include Petsmart catteries, Petco and Wags Dog Emporium. Founded in 2007 as 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; staffed totally by volunteers.

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is a strictly volunteer organization that focuses on rescuing dogs either from high kill shelters in California or from owners who cannot care for their dogs any longer.
- Willamette Animal Guild (WAG)

Offers: No shelter no intake. Focus on spay/neuter of companion animals and feral cats. Will be offering $10 spay/neuter for kittens if mom gets spayed too! Surgery provided at 8 weeks of age or two pounds.
Time frame: Currently spay/neuter appointments for companion animals are ~ 1 week out. Ferals are accommodated immediately as are pregnant queens.
Cost to “care taker”: 45$ gets ferals an ear tip, surgery, rabies, FVRCP, treatment for internal & external parasites

New Beginnings SPCA is a no-kill organization based in Douglas County. We rescue and adopt mostly cats but also have dogs as foster homes are available. We also have an active Feral Kitty Committee that practices TNR. Currently we are with out a facility so all animals are in foster homes and Petco. We are always in need of volunteers.
