Tippy
TIPPY is a gorgeous and fluffy one-year-old brown tabby female kitty who looks like she might have some Maine Coon in her. Like many cats, she wants to be in charge of her world, and prefers to decide for herself who her friends are and when she will accept being caressed. But once she's decided you are trustworthy and well-intentioned, she will purr, trill, and eagerly lean into your hand for pets. Tippy was living in a rough neighborhood, and was taken in by a kind-hearted resident who eventually surrendered her to a local vet when she became homeless. Because Tippy had to survive by her sharp wits and quick paws, she still has some issues with scratching and nipping. Since coming to WCDC, she has been bounced around to a number of different foster homes due to her unpredictable behavior. It will take a patient owner who is willing to be gentle and slow in gaining her trust and allowing her plenty of time to settle in and finally acclimate to her new surroundings. Once that happens, Tippy will make a sweet and devoted lifetime companion. She needs to be the ONLY cat, and should not be in a home with young children. Tippy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. Brielle
Brielle is absolutely stunning and she knows it. With her good looks, it's hard to fault her being a bit of a diva. Brielle is a calm cat. She loves to spend her day on her person's lap. She loves to be petted. Being picked up isn't her thing (that's the diva in her). She likes to be brushed but only as much as she wants and will get up and walk away when she's had enough. Brielle likes to play and will chase strings. She'd probably play more if she had someone who wanted to play with her. Brielle was surrendered to a shelter when she was 5. Her current owner then adopted her. She loves her but unfortunately her owner has medical issues and needs to go into a facility where she can't have Brielle. She is very distraught and so wants to find Brielle a home. Brielle has not been exposed to busy household (no kids or dogs exposure). Brielle would do best in a quiet home with one person or an older couple. Brielle has been spayed and will by up to date on vaccines, microchipped, tested for FELV/FIV, deflead and dewormed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is just $60. Brielle is in foster. To meet her or f or more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@westcoastdogandcat.org. 7/23/17 5:49 PM

Baylor
BAYLOR is a beautiful and rare petite pale orange female tabby kitty about 1 to 2 years old, with medium length hair. This sweet and demure young girl is on a quest to find a human to love forever. She was found abandoned and struggling to survive on the streets of Eugene – who knows why someone so cruelly turned her out to the elements? She cowers and is defensive when other cats come close, so she may have been terrorized by them. After a month of good nutrition and basic health care, her beautiful coat is restoring itself and there's sure to be a very fluffy tail in the making too. In her foster home, she adores being carried and held, as well as cuddling in your lap, and she offers appreciative little mews of gratitude with soft purrs. Baylor needs a stable forever home where she can be the only pet and thus focus solely on her person – could it be you? BAYLOR has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. Baylor is available for cuddling at Wags! Dog and Cat Emporium, 485 Coburg Road, Eugene 97401 during regular business hours. Sheston
SHESTON is a sweet and petite young black and tan tabby girl kitty with a beautiful combination of stripes, spots, and dots (called “ticking”); she is not quite 2 yrs old. She has large, luminous green eyes that search your face for attention at every moment, as if to ask "Do you love me now?" She was surrendered by her family when they moved away for a new job – which was quite a blow to this affectionate girl who has such a gentle disposition. In her foster home she is thriving with love and attention, and eagerly reaches to be held and carried, occasionally even wrapping her arms around her human's neck for nuzzled kisses. She is healthy, energetic and playful, and might do best in a home with another young cat (so they can talk about you when you're not home), or where her humans are readily available to give her lots of attention and TLC. Sheston's adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. She is currently in foster where she can receive prospective adopters. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@westcoastdogandcat.org. CALYPSO is a a gorgeous and fluffy young solid gray female kitty with a white spot her throat, one white back foot, and a magnificent fluffy tail. Estimated to be about 1 to 2 years old, she was left behind when her owners had to move suddenly. Luckily, she was rescued by a kind neighbor, and surrendered to WCDC as a very pregnant mother-to-be. Calypso was a great mom to her litter of four kittens, and very friendly to humans even while raising her babies. This sweet girl is outgoing and confident; she is reserved for a little while with new people, but soon she will be exploring, settling in, and making herself at home. She also gets along well with other cats. Now that her kittens have grown up, Calypso is ready to find a stable family of her own that will love and cherish her forever – and will never abandon her again! CALYPSO has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in the cat room at Petsmart in South Eugene (28th and Willamette). RAY is an elegant adult male kitty with long fluffy fur, estimated to be between 4 and 7 years old. He is black with a white chest, front tips of his paws and sweeping whiskers. This magnificent fellow seeks a soft place from which to lounge, survey his territory and approve of your every action. He was abandoned by his family when they couldn't give him the attention he deserved. Ray has luminous green eyes and a very fluffy long tail which he wafts as if it were a fan in Cleopatra's time. "Bring me treats!" he might be saying as he carries on a complete conversation with you. After a thorough veterinary review, it is recommended that he be on a urinary-tract health diet for his lifetime (he is currently on Royal Canin Urinary dry and wet food). He enjoys being brushed, and will let you hold/carry him for a short time. He is calm and easygoing, loves to talk, and will make a wonderful companion. He seems to be rather indifferent to other cats. Ray's adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. Langston
LANGSTON is a sweet and somewhat reserved little 4-month-old solid black male kitten. He is gentle and talkative, and has a huge purr once he decides you are trust-worthy -- but he likes to sit back and assess new things and situations before jumping in. He enjoys a good wrestling match with his siblings and, once he feels safe, he will be happy to include you in his fun and games too. He does well with gentle, cat-friendly dogs; he has not met any children, but we think he would do well with gentle kids after a careful introduction. Langston and his 3 siblings were born in a residential neigh-borhood, caught by a good Samaritan, and put into a loving WCDC foster home where they have grown and thrived. Like most active young kittens, he would do best in a household with another kitten or playful young animal, or with a patient and savvy cat owner who can monitor him and give him lots of attention. NOTE: Langston has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. OhMan (also known as Little Baby Kitty) is a sweet little male kitten who is black with a few white sprinkles (back and tail), and who is also POLYDACTYL -- he has extra toes on his front feet! He came to WCDC as the lone survivor of his litter. With great vet care and a wonderful foster home, he was soon thriving. As a lone kitten, he sometimes can be a little shy, but he gets over it quickly. He is very playful and has his favorite toys -- one of which is a stuffed bear. He will play with just about anything, but longs to play with another kitty. He loves to purr, snuggle and give KISSES. He would do well in a quiet home with another playful young kitten or fun-loving older cat. Gary
GARY is a sweet and active little black panther male kitten who is described by everyone who meets him as "spunky." He was found following around his stray momma cat on the streets, and had an outgoing and independent demeanor from the moment he arrived at his foster home. As he grew up, he became extremely fond of people, and he especially loves cuddles! He is the first one to greet you when you get home, and says hello with a loud purr. He also loves playing with the other kittens and adult cats in his foster home, and would do best in a home where he can run around with other kitty friends (he does not like to be alone!). While he has not been around dogs extensively, he shows a general curiosity and interest in them. Ira
Formerly Iris when ID'd as a female IRA is an adorable little solid black, medium-haired male kitten. He's very soft and fluffy, and has super cute tufts of hair coming out from his ears. He loves to snuggle and have his belly rubbed. Ira is very affectionate and comes running when called. He was found abandoned in a parking lot, and has been raised in a loving foster home with 2 small dogs, a cat, and plenty of human attention. He's so friendly, he has even managed to get the older kitty in his foster home to tolerate him and occasionally snuggle and play with him. Ira is an active and playful boy who absolutely adores his feather wand; like most energetic young kittens, he would do best in a home with another playful young animal. SATIN is a beautiful and petite, solid black long-haired girl kitty about 8 to 10 years old, with a sweet and curious nature. She loves to explore and poke around into all the nooks and crannies of her surroundings. Leave a drawer or cabinet open, and she’ll immediately inspect it. Satin lived all her life with an elderly couple until they could no longer care for her when they moved into a long-term care facility. She is now looking for a new home where there are loving humans to pet her, interesting cubbies to explore, and windows full of light. She is generally reserved and proper, but soon shows her affectionate and curious nature when she feels safe and comfortable. She likes a good scratching post but would rather sit next to you on the sofa while you read a book and stroke her head, instead of playing with toys or running around. SATIN has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. CARLY is a lovable little short-haired solid black female kitten. She is curious, playful and energetic, and enjoys running enthusiastically around the house as well as lounging in sunny windowsills. Her playful side, however, is balanced out nicely by her desire to connect with the humans in her life; she will sit on laps when she’s feeling in need of attention, and you will often find her on someone’s bed during the night! Carly is happy to be picked up and handled, and enjoys being petted for as long as people will pet her. She enjoys children and adults alike, and she adjusted nicely to the other household pets in her foster home (dogs, cats and rabbits). Like most active young kittens, she would do best in a household where there is another playful young animal, or where she gets lots of attention and isn’t left alone during the day -- and her adopter understands that she is a high energy and playful young girl. DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty and I am just a year and a half old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. DeeCee was surrendered by her adopters because their other cat was bullying her, and keeping her cornered and stressed. Because of that, DeeCee peed outside of her litterbox. Since being in foster care, she has been treated for a urinary tract infection, and is recovering and using her box regularly. She will need to stay on a urinary tract health food for her lifetime, and she would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee has been spayed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. DeeCee's adoption fee is $75 (adoption fees help us cover medical expenses). DeeCee is currently in foster. Layla
LAYLA is a puffy princess -- a long-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a white chest and paws. She will be very shy starting out, and should have a nice cozy place to hide until she has become accustomed to her new surroundings and humans. Eventually Layla loves to be very much a part of her human’s activities. She enjoys being petted, but be forewarned that she will give you a swipe or quick love bite to let you know she is not done with your attentions just yet! Sometimes she will swipe at your ankles if you ignore her. In her foster home, she would run to a favorite roost and meow for her foster dad to pet her. She enjoys toys that are interactive, like Da Bird and laser pointer, and she also has a pile of small stuffed toys that she pulls out and plays with. She is not fond of being held, but will tolerate being carried and also brushed. Layla was adopted as a teenager, and came back to us as a very scared, shy kitty when her owner could no longer care for her. With patience and TLC, she will blossom into an affectionate girl who will bond strongly to her adopter, just as she did with her foster dad over the past few months. Ariana
ARIANA is a beautiful young female kitty with sleek black fur and a cute white spot on her chest. This 3-year-old sweetheart is seeking affection and love. She is a cat who hates to be confined, and she is quite vocal (we call her "squeakers" because she talks so much). She is a little nervous about strange sounds or unfamiliar surroundings, and will sometimes hiss or growl -- but she is never aggressive (although she should not be in a home with young kids). She loves to play with string and balls, and she really enjoys sitting and looking out windows. Ariana was adopted from WCDC as a kitten, but was returned to us when her owner became financially unstable and was unable to care for her (or give her the attention that she so strongly desires). It took Ariana awhile to learn to trust her new family, but now she is very affectionate with her foster mom's teenagers, and sleeps with them every night. She will need a patient and cat-savvy adopter who will give her time to adjust -- but this young girl really wants to be a part of a family in a stable forever home! NOTE: ARIANA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Hobi
HOBI is a wonderfully sweet and friendly silver tabby male kitty who is estimated to be about 12 years old. He's a charming guy who is curious and outgoing, and who doesn’t act at all like a senior kitty. Don't be surprised if you see him hop up onto a cat tree or other high place, like a cat with much less life experience! He's spry and talkative and still likes to chase a string around the floor. Hobi was adopted as a kitten and lived his whole life with just one family -- until both his people suffered failing health and could no longer care for this boy. He's looking for a warm and loving forever home where his people will listen to his stories and cuddle up with him on the sofa. Hobi is great with gentle kids, and he is so laid back that he should be fine with other mellow cats. He has been neutered, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. Fast Eddie
FAST EDDIE was an abandoned cat who walked right into his rescuer’s home, looking for food and love. His rescuer fell for him immediately but unfortunately couldn’t keep him as her son had severe allergies. Fast Eddie is a large and handsome black and gray tabby about 3 years old, who looks like he might have some Maine Coon in his background. He is a gentle guy, who appreciates a soft bed and regular meals. He previously was an indoor-outdoor cat, but he has adjusted well to living indoors, as long as he has a window to watch the world go by. Eddie likes to watch the world from his cat tree. He loves canned food. He is a little sensitive to overstimulation, and might nip at you if you pet him too much. But he will curl up next to you, roll over and offer you his belly, gaze up at you with adoring eyes, and will thank you for your kindness and care. Fast Eddie tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), but is a very healthy boy. Cats with FIV can live healthy normal lives as INDOOR-ONLY cats with good nutrition and care, and the virus can only be passed to another cat through a deep bite wound (it cannot be passed to people or dogs). Fast Eddie has been neutered, tested negative for FELV, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. ATTICUS is a beautiful, solid gray 2-year-old male kitty whose attributes lead us to believe he might be a Russian Blue mix: he is alert, friendly, playful, energetic, intelligent, and has a beautiful, shiny, dense coat. When he is ready to be petted, he will nudge your hand to let you know. When it's time to play, he is happy to chase a piece of yarn around the house, pulled by one of his people; then when it's time for his humans to take a break, he is happy to play with the ball of yarn all on his own. He uses his litterbox religiously, prefers his wave-shaped scratching post to furniture, and would love a tall cat tree to indulge his desire to climb. He is curious and smart and gets along well with older kids. He is not good with being picked up, but will follow you around the house and monitor all of your activities. Atticus was abandoned at a local vet after his urethra became blocked with crystals, and the vet performed a life-saving surgery that cured him of the problem. He is now a healthy boy, and his only special requirement is that he stay on a prescription diet that reduces crystal formation. Atticus would definitely prefer to be an only cat, but he most likely could acclimate to a friendly and mellow dog. His adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, deflead and dewormed and comes with a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@westcoastdogandcat.org. 7/23/17 5:49 PM

Chico
CHICO is just the sweetest cat in the world! He is a handsome flame-point Siamese mix around 9 years old. At his current weight of 16+ lbs, he is a gentle giant, and his adopter will need to continue his weight-loss regimen so that he can get his boyish figure back and stay healthy. He has a cute little meow-chirp, and will talk to you alot. He loves to be petted (he will plop down on his side so that you can rub his tummy) and will purr and purr. Chico will cuddle up by you on the couch or bed, and he LOVES people and attention. He would do well with older children. He really likes to play, especially with the feather toy (exercise is great to help him lose weight too) and he loves little stuffed toys. His original owner loved him very much but had to give him up when he went into a care facility. We then adopted Chico to a woman who said he was the nicest cat she ever had -- but she subsequently fell down and is now unable to care for him. Chico would probably do best as your only pet and certainly is up to the job of providing all the love you would ever need. Won’t you give this sweet boy a stable forever home, with all of the love and attention he so deserves? He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for FELV and FIV, is microchipped and has been treated for fleas and dewormed and comes with a free vet visit. Chico's adoption fee is $60. To meet Chico in foster care or learn more about him, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@westcoastdogandcat.org. 7/23/17 5:49 PM

Ta'nai
TA' NAI is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One vet estimated her age at 3 years old and another vet at 6 years old, but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant, and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted, and Ta'nai has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches, but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works alot. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich, and she goes completely silly for cat nip. She would prefer a quiet household, without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction, and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Ta'nai is currently in foster care. Ta'nai's adoption fee is $75. To meet her or for more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296. 7/23/17 5:49 PM

Tammy
TAMMY is a shy but very sweet little female kitty about 2 years old with plush black fur. She was born in a feral colony (and spayed with an ear tip), and then was taken into a loving foster home where she slowly learned to trust people. She is active and playful, but may hide when someone walks into the room or moves too quickly towards her. Once you gain her trust, however, she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. She was adopted into a household with one other young kitty (Tasha), but Tammy is a very dominant kitty with other cats, and Tasha was a bit afraid of her. Tammy and Tasha’s adoptive mom recently died, and they are now living in a WCDC foster home where they have been separated. Tammy is still adjusting to the sudden change in surroundings, and even though she really loves to be petted, she will sometimes suddenly growl or hiss. She will need a quiet home without young children. Tammy is a diamond in the rough, and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody.TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 7/23/17 5:49 PM

Nora
NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving WCDC foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture". Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to WCDC because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. Nora is currently in foster care. Boots
BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo cat who is about 10 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws, thus he must be an indoor-only cat (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy who is very quiet and has a soft purr. His owner went into a nursing home, and Boots had been with her ever since he was a kitten -- thus it took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. He can be quite playful at times, and wants you to be involved. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you, but he doesn’t like to be touched too much and he gets very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. Boots needs to be an only cat, and in a home with no young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. H e has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Boots adoption fee is $60. TOOEY is a large and handsome fluffy black and white male tuxedo kitty with a white face blaze, about 21 months old. He is active and playful, and very affectionate -- he's not a scaredy cat at all. He is good with being held and sitting in laps, and is very bonded to humans. Tooey was adopted from WCDC as a kitten, and his original owner has now moved in with a relative who is very allergic to cats. He needs a home where he can feel safe and adored -- but where his new owners also understand that young kitties can have periods where they exhibit lots of crazy energy! Tooey will occasionally scratch when he gets overstimulated, and will need a patient and cat-savvy adopter (no young kids). He may be able to adjust to a mellow, non-dominant kitty or to a cat-friendly dog, but he is not a fan of active young kittens. Won’t you give this sweet young guy the stable forever home that he so deserves? His adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. SM River and Meadow are very sweet, shy kiddos that need someone patient enough to wait for their wonderful personalities to come out and shine! Meadow a beautiful solid black girl is the friendliest one, and likes being picked up and snuggled. She'll sit around with her tongue peeking out of her mouth, looking adorable. River, an adorable gray tabby, needs a little more time before she'll come out to be social, but she follows her sister's lead. It'll take a month or two before River will start coming up to you for attention, and some time after that before she'll let you pick her up, but once she trusts you, she'll be devoted to you and follow you around and meow for attention 🙂 They're not used to loud noises, so they may run and hide the first few times they hear something new. They have a little experience with a cat savvy dog, and they did well once they got used to her, so with time, they could get along with a canine sibling. They can both be bribed with treats once they've settled in to their new environment. They're energetic, both love to chase da bird toy, and any string will get their attention! River likes to chase toys when you throw them, and Meadow will run along just because her sister is running. If you have treats in your hands, they'll both gently bat at your fingers until you give them some.? Because River is very bonded to her sister, Meadow, we are offering them at a special adoption fee of $100 for the pair, sponsored by Main Street Mini Storage. These adorable girls are shy with new people and situations. The important thing will be to create a feeling of safety for her by letting her settle in one room of your home with everything she needs: food, water, toys and a litter box. Interact with her during this time so she gets used to you being a part of her new life. She will need toys and lots of time with you, but most of all she will need your patience and love to blossom to her full potential. Both River and Meadow have tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P
MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P's adoption fee is $75. ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called WCDC when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the 2 years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe, and has become more confident in exploring her home instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Are you looking for the greatest cat ever? Well that’s how Willow’s original mom described her and we are definitely in agreement. Willow is a beautiful 4 year old dilute torti. Willow is good with gentle children, dogs and cats. She is very gentle and even when the toddler in her previous home got too rough, she would gently paw without her claws. Willow loves to cuddle. You can even pet her belly and it’s not a trap! Willow’s owner had to give her up due to some big life changes. She was really sorry to have to give her up. For people thinking about adopting Willow, she wanted them to know she is “such a good cat but will need a bit of time to get comfortable”. Willow is scared by the changes in her life but is starting to adjust in her foster home. Like most cats, she will need time in her new home to get comfortable. Willow has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is just $75 and helps us help another cat in need. CUDDLES is a beautiful and sweet short-haired black and gray tabby female kitty about 12 years old. She was surrendered by her people when they moved out of state and couldn’t take her with them. It took her some time to adjust to her foster home -- she was very scared at first -- but with a little patience and TLC, she has proved to be a friendly girl who enjoys gentle petting and especially chin scratches. She’ll be happiest in a quiet home with lots of low spots for her to hang out and nap in . Cuddles has been thoroughly checked out by a vet, and other than some minor arthritis in her hips, she is in excellent health. Once she has bonded to you, she loves to lay on your chest, legs or back, especially in bed at night, but not necessarily on your lap. She may give you an appreciative lick during petting or knead you with soft paws. She enjoys DaBird wire toy for play when she’s not asking for ear rubs. She prefers you don’t touch her feet too much, but once she trusts you, she is good with being brushed. Cuddles is currently in foster care and would love to meet you for a proper introduction.
